It's taking me forever (9 months or so) to accumulate 7,000 miles on my run with RLI. Soon I will have the numbers, probably mid Nov. or so, and then I can comment more.

This current OCI has consisted mostly of short-trips (i.e., severe service). The SX4 also has a timing chain and a 10.5:1 CR.

I'm definitely putting it to the test.

Although the SSO does have an advertised TBN of 13.2 for extended drain use.
You don't get a TBN of 10 or greater from the standard RLI PCMO oil until you get into the HD oil line.
