Today, I pay more than that for Verizon service for two phones.

Verizon is a rip-off ... stopped using them years ago and have saved tons of money.

I'm on Verizon prepaid, I think I pay like $35/mo and get 15GB of high-speed data that's not too bad.

Yeah, that's pretty good. It took Verizon a while to cave in and be competitive like they are more so today.

Was watching “ The crown” on Netflix last night and had a laugh watching Prince Charles answering a call on his “ hump phone” from Princess Diana.

My First Cell Phone - Seriously. It sat on the hump as it had ears and cleats to keep it from sliding.

It was analog but with a rooftop antenna on my vehicle I never got disconnected.

My mom worked in sales in the 90's and had a phone that looked exactly like that. She kept it as long as possible until they finally made her convert to a hand-held phone...which performed terribly in comparison. I have often wondered how much of the performance difference was just due to the antenna (the roof mounted antenna of the bag phone having an advantage).
