Glad to hear your dog's OK.
No rawhide chews for our dog, we had an episode like that years ago.
Recently our dog was having pain, touch him in the chest and he wimpered, we were keeping an eye on him. A little later we found the empty bag from the sandwich rolls. He must have downed a good half dozen hearty rolls, no wonder he was in pain, it passed.
Some time ago (another dog we had) was straining to BM, yelped when it came out. It looked funny, kind of squarish. I poked at the BM with a stick, son-of-a-gun, it's a block of wood... Hope that didn't give you any splinters down there.
Another time, found a broken light bulb, suspected the pooch ate the glass. Call the vet, he suggests we feed the dog bread or mashed potatoes to cushion and pass any glass (I'm thinking "Would you like butter on your mashed potatoes?", shake head). He survived.
Another time the dog must have been rooting through the trash can in the bathroom, he has a BM in the yard containing something my wife had discarded. "Better not leave that laying in the yard."
Oh, the things dogs eat...
