Musk Says Tesla ‘Dug Our Own Grave’ With The Cybertruck

As many times as I have called this thing butt-ugly, I have to say it looks better in person. I was surprised. Huge by huge windshield and that single wiper blade! Here ya go! The little scooter was a nice touch...

The cyberquad was recalled. It's a joke. For the price Tesla wants there are many other way better options out there. It has no suspension, feet guards etc. Honda and others make a way nicer product.

+1 One of my favorite sayings from back in my car sales days was this: There's an a** for every seat. Boy oh boy is that the truth!!

This is not making sense to me. At all.

First things first, Musk is the most successful human on the planet and is only the second human ever to have started 3ea "billion dollar" companies from the ground up. The first being my boss. By any measurable standard, his is, and continues to be, a stunning success.

Nor is NASA relying on Musk or SpaceX for its future. NASA has a VERY wide range of activities not associated with Musk in any way. So far, the F9 and FH rockets are proving to be workhorses. Exactly what we've needed for the last 50 years.

I predict Starship and the Cybertruck will have an appropriate measure of success. Remember there is no physical reason that either can't be done.

What I see here is that some people don't like Musk, don't understand his tenacity, and see his personality as a problem. By any objective measure, he's already proven himself capable beyond anyone else, anywhere.
They also don't like Musk as some interpret him as a threat to their protected tribe, such as IT professionals who earn well above their non IT professional counterparts/ average wage earners.

Just two years ago, about eight people controlled what could be posted on line. They decided what was ok to post and.not. Musk threatening that ogilopoly, by supporting the 1st amendment is a huge threat to that tribe.

Sure hope Musk has the most competent Protective Services detail in the globe. I suspect he may be the most at risk person in the US.

And for those that despise Musk. I think you should write down why you despise him. Take five minutes, and look at what you wrote, see if itakes sense and if you hatred is truly warranted.

Interesting focus here, did somebody in my field wrong you at some point?

No, statement was a Macro statement. And as posted years ago, you are the Elon Musk of the Great White North.

One of my favorite IT stories is when I transferred to a new state, and had to get a organization issued computer. I filled out the form, it was supposed to take one day. After three weeks, and a lot of unreturned calls and visits to their secure area, zero response.

A CO worker told me the fix. They had a camera watching who came to their offices and rang the bell for service. They would laugh and just make fun of people, hang out and never respond.

His suggestion was just to ring the bell for ever, and they would finally respond, as they couldn't stand the bell never stopping. Sure enough, it work. After ringing their office bell for 40 minutes, they surrenderied and open the door and issued me a computer.

Classic!

Yes, the helpdesk stories can be absolutely wild, I did high school co-op in the IT department at the uni my dad taught at, they didn't like me very much, lol.

This. My major is in Journalism. If fair and real it has the power to change the world and inform. Many people now are saying Musk is being "punished " and it's "bias". He's a straight up bonehead and it boggles the mind that he's worth as much as he is. Take for example a few months back. A computer server complex in San Francisco was charging Tesla from the article a million dollars per month to host. A place in the Seattle area was a third of that. Musk was going to walk in and unplug all of Tesla's servers. His brother had to explain that will result in everything going down. The guy doesn't think.
It’s not that he doesn’t think, he doesn’t conform to what people think he should (like in this thread)
It’s the outliers in this world that innovate and invent, even rule over us. The masses follow. Human nature and we get lazier than ever now. ( not in anyway directed at anyone in here)

He is one of the richest people in the world and a household name. Must be doing something right. But human nature critiques his every move, mass media makes money off that.

I think the only difference between famous inventors now than those in the past are the new ago media and social media

Bernie Madoff was one of the richest men in the world too and people blindly trusted him because of that. How'd that work out for them?

Perfect example of what I’m talking about.
The two have nothing in common.
Human nature to tear down others based on nothingness. Including a next door neighbor who may find joy in a $100,000 pick up while they drive a Corrolla but it’s not just money. It can be anything, it can be the clothes you wear, the way you act, it’s social media

Except it wasn't between two people, it was a public accusation Musk made on a platform where he has millions and millions of followers.
It was a fight between two people in the media. It was even referenced in this forum that he called the “rescuer’s” pedo’s which is a gross misstatement that Musk called the “rescuer’s” pedo’s.

I suggest people read the actual fight between two people. Also accept the rule of law vs those in a social media forum. *LOL
Juries have to spend hours getting the facts of a case vs armchair warriors. Their ruling makes sense to me. Next name calling will be a crime?

Name calling in a fight between two people happens. He called one person a pedo in response to another’s attack, he did not call the rescue team “pedio’s

People get called names in a verbal fight, the jury ruled that way.

I can’t have this discussion with you. Clearly you are biased based on income levels.
But to end my last words for your comment. I guess people of your income level are all the same too? Including every criminal? Every horrible act they commit?
I’ve said enough and think the moderators agree 😇

I'm simply trying to point out that wealth doesn't always equate to intelligence or "must be doing something right". I'm out of this conversation too.

Labeling someone can ruin their reputation (ie slander) and make it very difficult in today's world to recover. Just look at three University of Connecticut Lacrosse players who were at a party when a few fellow sorority was hosting. Several of the sorority girls were sexually assaulted. The UCONN Lacrosse players were long gone from the party and had proof. The majority of the campus faculty and students said they were guilty. They had to change universities as nobody would talk or deal with them.

No one was labeled anything, somebody was called a name in an argument.
The above example has nothing to do with two people arguing.
I keep repeating a jury, decided this in less than two hours, which is amazing. I don’t understand how others don’t see it, but that doesn’t matter.

I could call you a name right now in a public forum, and that’s all it will be calling you a name, wow such a tragedy. You could sue me, but chances are a jury will find me not guilty.

So you'd have no problem with someone quite publicly calling you a pedophile?
After all, it's only calling you a name, as you've written.
