Motorcraft FL1A verses Ford Racing FL1A

I see a Motorcraft FL1A filter goes for around $10, and a Ford "racing" FL1A filter goes for near twice that price.

Is there a difference other than the marking on the filter? Motorcraft used to sell a racing filter called FL-1HP, with the "racing " name, but it is no longer made.

Now I see "racing" on the Ford sold FL1A, but not so on the motorcraft version of FL1A. any difference between these two other than price and the markings?

I see a Motorcraft FL1A filter goes for around $10

$4 at Walmart or Amazon. I've seen filter cuts on this and it appears to be a excellent MC filter.

Usually the "HP" filters have a higher bypass and burst rating, and a less restrictive media.

The media in the Motorcraft racing filters is also more efficient at filtering than the regular Motorcraft oil filters.
