Motorcraft FL 500 cut open Virgin

I believe it's 80% at 20 microns. Pretty strong filter media... Louvers were open.. 57 pletes..

Looks good! I thought the efficiency was higher than that? Don't remember now where I got that idea.
USCAR-36 says an oil filter must be at least 95% @ 30u, and Motorcrafts meet USCAR-36. 95% @ 30u may be pretty close to the 80% @ 20u that Motorcraft use to claim. Then you have the old ISO-4548-12 efficiency info from Amsoil showing an FL-820S at 93.7% @ 20u.
 
You wouldn't know unless the filter was actually ISO 4548-12 tested.

Now my question doesn't Mann and Hummel test these filters? Obviously they do,
