I did notice new packaging for the bottles last time I was in walmart. So I would jump to the conclusion that would be a good way to spot the new stuff.
I believe the new OCI for the Fords are only for certain engines, like their new Duratec 3.5 that they just developed and put into service in the past year or so. It does not apply to all engines.

I don't think that's accurate. I read the press release in detail on several web sites, and I'm pretty sure it clearly states that it's all passenger car engines with normal duty, not just a few specific models. I believe they said it's effective back to the 2006 model year and forward, but it could've been 2007, not sure.
