Motorad 140 degree thermostat any good?

Not saying I've seen everything, but I've never seen a 140° thermostat.
I went to Rockauto and checked a 2000 Forester at random and what do you know, stock temp is 170° and there is a Motorad 140°.

I used a Reische to drop the coolant temp a little on the '14 Roush Supercharged 5.0 Coyote and it still works 7 years later but I used a Motorad on a 2013 F150 and it still works as well. They both appear correct for temp based on the head temp sensors.

Edited: I got the two crossed in my head.

I used a Motorad 655-180 to drop the coolant temp a little on the '14 Roush Supercharged 5.0 Coyote and it still works fine 7 years later and the head temp averages about 12F cooler so it appears to be the correct temperature range.
Yeah, 180's have always been the sweet spot. On EEC-IV, it was right before it would start pulling timing for example and hot enough that it was past the higher wear threshold that happened with a 160.
