Hello,
I have an evolution 9 has bolts on and cams. No e85, just daily see boost everyday. No cats.
I put a 5w40 val syn but my tuner is recommand 10w40 or 20w50 for our hot days. Tx and see easy 90 + degree during the day. I found few evo performance shops using brad penn 20w50 in stock to race cars without any issue. One of shop tuner said they see less(?) or non) spun bearing issue after using 20w50, also high zinc/pho.
But mitsu recommand 10w30 and many owners saying 20w50 is too thick for stock block. But whoever using them, i havent hear any issue.
But anyway, 10w40 there isnt many companies has for that grade...which my fav companies. so if 20w50 is works, i rather run 20w50.
Im thinking about brad penn or vr1 syn 20w50. If this is too thick then rotella t6 would work? Looks like T6 seems thicker for 5w40?
Thanks.
