Motion Pro Cable Lube Discontinued?

I've been using PJ1 for a number of years and grabbed some Motion Pro Cable Lube with Red Line sometime last year. I like this one better than the PJ1. I use it for more than just the cables. Works great for putting a small squirt in the key switches, fork locks, seat locks, etc. and pivot points for foldable foot pegs.

With that said, I got one can left and I have not seen it in stock for months. Does anyone know if it's discontinued? If it is then there anything comparable? PJ1 is OK. I've never tried the other stuff like Tusk, etc.

I did Amazon and eBay it. My local motorcycle shops do not have it in stock, and they say there is no estimated ship date from Parts Unlimited and other vendors they would order it from.

Modern Teflon lined cables don't require lube because the lube will mix
with dirt and create grit that will saw through the Teflon quicker
than if operated dry... to gain back the smooth operation plan on new
cables...

If dirt is getting into the cable, does not matter whether there's lubricant or if it is dry. The dirt is in there. The lubricant will help create even less friction and prolong life. With that said, cables are not a lifetime item on a bike. However saying lubricant will hasten damage is not making sense in this case.

Wrong post? Nobody in this thread said that using lubricating accelerates wear or that the cables are a lifetime item.

maraakate, not sure what you're reading, this quote is pretty straightforward with that statement. "Will saw through the Teflon quicker than if operated dry".

By saying "With that said", it is my addition to share cables are not a lifetime item. Nothing more than that. It means in addition to what I had said in the previous line, and everything else that has been said. I don't know how I could have said it differently or more clearly. Apologies that it wasn't clear to you.

Blocked that user because I got tired of him spam posting the same exact OA print outs from literally 20 years ago and then ignoring any other discussion in the thread.

Someone on a KZ forum site called Motion Pro about the cable lube, and he was told that it's not discontinued, just out of stock. Take that for what it's worth...

Personally, I use regular old motor oil. Make a funnel shape out of foil or a plastic bag, and rubber band it onto the end of the cable while sticking up. Fill the bag with oil, and it will slowly creep down the cable. Wait until you see some oil come out the bottom side.

Regarding oil not being necessary, all I can say is try oil on an old cable, then come back and post here again. It makes a noticeable difference. It may not be needed on a fresh cable, but it does help old ones.
