MoS2 for gears

I put the LM dry lube in my front and rear differentials mixed with Delvac 75w90 about 45k ago. Nothing broken yet.
each front bevel box and rear differential, as per opening post
Same oil I show...RL MT90 75W90.

I would suggest you make your measurements as accurately as possible with say one tube then an additional tube and report back.
Shaeffer Oil has been using various forms of moly in their differential and hydraulic oils for at least three decades, but it was in a balanced formulation.

the rear diff doesn't call for GL-5?
Not that I'm aware of...I just went with what Redline and LM showed for compatible products and they listed the GL4.
MoS2 seemed to work well in the manual transmission in my A4.
The car had only 25K miles on it when I bought it, but there was a "stickiness" in the 2-3 shift. It was present at all temperatures but felt much worse in colder ones.
After replacing the original fill with new OE fluid & MoS2, I noticed a dramatic improvement within a few hundred miles that lasted for the next 12K+ miles and counting.

I know it is subjective and prone to placebo effect, but did it make the drivetrain quieter in your opinion? Just asking as you meantioned "is quiet".
I was being funny...I note no difference that I can discern.
I have a new to me, since October of last year, 1987 Toyota MR2 with the C52 5spd, with about 111k on the clock.
In October I drained a really old, black stew of gear oil from the C52, and filled back up with Redline MT90 - I was surprised to find the drain plug didn't have a magnet. Last weekend 3\9 - I drained the MT90 (Treating the first fill as a flush over that first six months) and refilled with Fresh MT90 and MOS2 for gears - plus a magnetic drain plug.
I can't tell any real appreciable difference, except for one that reverse is consistently easier to get into. The gearbox shifted much better after the first drain and fill, the second which was really spurred on more about installing a magnetic drain plug to catch any metal debris - continues to shift fantastic.
MOS2 hasn't had any appreciable issues with syncros since the refill. If anything of substance happens in terms of grinding or issues that show up, i'll post about it.
