But when you have a policy that bad people use Evil Business Jets and that is bad for the world you are going to see more of this happening.

And we wonder why things are getting worst....

Just the tip of the iceberg.

This is kind of topic....

But Kennedy Space Center is going to also lay off many people and get rid of lots of contractors once they stop flying the Space Shuttle.

I wanted to to go to Netjets really bad last year, with their great schedule and great pay, benefits. etc. I'm glad i stayed where i am.

My next door neighbor flys for a major airline and is gone 5 days and home 5 days said that all the employees are getting pay cuts and the management are getting bonuses because the reduced cost of the employees show up as higher profit which = a pay bonus.

I had lunch with a UA Captain with 18 years at UA a couple of weeks ago. He said they are making about 1/2 what they did 10 years ago and a lot of pilots have taken 2nd jobs to maintain their lifestyle and keep up with payments. Makes for tired pilots.

Most of the blame is to the pilot in this case. I took a 50% pay cut back in March. A 2nd job didn't even cross my mind. I still have no problems paying all my bills.

Silver...

Why is "most of the blame is to the pilot in this case?" Please elaborate.

It is called living beyond your means. My uncle told me just once if you make a million dollars a year and spend a million and a half you still are broke.
