Mopar ATF+4 Question

Folks,

does anyone know if Mopar ATF+4 is really a synthetic ATF?

...or is it a hydrocracked/hydrotreated petroleum product??

I don't think it's synthetic. Why do you think it is?

Because the bottle says "Synthetic" on it.

I've done a search, but haven't found any information on it...

If the bottle indicates "synthetic", I'd opine it's a pretty good bet that Mopar ATF+4 is formulated with low viscosity Group III base lube stock. Since ChryCorp's ATFs are proprietary, you're not likely to find any publically accessible information on the stuff.

Redline told me that DCX ATF+4 is Group 3, while their C+ATF is Group 5 and has the same frictional properties as ATF+4. So I've been running the Redline in my DCX 5 speed manual transmission. Seems to work good.
