Toyota Genuine Transaxle Fluid TE availability

Dealer says there’s no ETA for the fluid used in newer e CVTs.

Just curious if anyone knows if that’s normal since these are fairly new transaxles after decades of ATF WS, or if this is part of the synthetics supply problems due to nothing happening in the Middle East?

My new 2026 PHEV uses:

Toyota Genuine e-Transaxle fluid TE

When I bought the car I asked the parts department what quantity it comes in and what it cost. They said 4L containers and $95ish cost wise. Mind you this is Canada and our weak $ prices. They never mentioned an availability problem but for giggles I'll call Monday and see what ETA they offer.

Amazon sells the Idemitsu CVT Type TLS FE Transmission Fluid for Toyotas.

Thank you for the Idemitsu suggestion but they all appear to be third party sellers and there’s no way I trust Amazon with parts or fluids unless I’m explicitly looking for counterfeits. I’ll check out RockAuto and others though.
