I've read a lot on this issue in the Hemi's. Many have solved it with the use of 10W30 Pennzoil and a bottle of M0S2. My uncles 2011 did it terribly until he began a steady diet of Pennzoil Conventional 10w30 and it is quiet as a mouse now.

My 2012 Hemi has developed a tick on startup that goes away after about 15 seconds. Not sure if its a lifter tick or broken exhaust manifold bolt.

People who don't need what it brings to the table probably care about costs.
People who do probably don't care what it costs, but may.
Given the site almost always has both sides reading a thread its always worth pointing out cost.
