Wondering what brands of off the shelf 5W20 oils have the highest Moly content? Vehicle in question is a 17 Ram 1500 5.7 Hemi.

If I'm remembering correctly:
Synthetic- Quaker State Ultimate Durability (Certain Idemitsu blends have much higher Mo, but I've not found them "off the shelf"- they are easier to find if you're willing to go to a 0W-20).
Conventional- Pennzoil

I was also interested in such an oil (high moly) and was planning to do some research.
In my case, a substitute for TGMO which has high amount of moly ... that I can buy from store as oppose to dealership.
Like op I also have a 5.7L but it's a Tundra.
Maybe 5.7L trucks like extra moly ... lol

Check the Virgin Oil Analysis Board Room. I'll bet the SOPUS Family of Pennzoil, Quaker State, Formula Shell and Rotella has the most Moly content overall.

Check the Virgin Oil Analysis Board Room. I'll bet the SOPUS Family of Pennzoil, Quaker State, Formula Shell and Rotella has the most Moly content overall.
Any oil that is mixed with this product.
For a 20 weight, Mazda 0w20 contains a lot of moly. Can get it at your local Mazda dealership.

I'm pretty sure he's looking for the highest moly content in an oil that is within the specs listed in his owner's manual for warranty purposes. A 0W-20 oil's moly content does not help him here.
Not sure how important the W rating is to the engine as long as at the running viscosity is correct and the start temp window works.
So if it's the "0W vs 5W" standing in the way I wouldn't let that be a gate.

I don't know with 100% certainty, maybe Overkill can comment, but I think these cam/lifter failures are pretty much a thing of the past?

Not disagreeing with you. That said, while a 0W would do just fine, for warranty purposes he would probably like to have receipts stating that he bought the correct specced oil. Yes, NOACK is at 14% so there are probably better options out there.
