Ahhh the Julia Child style of cooking. Get the portions about right. Cooking isn't pharmaceutical grade chemistry. My family members always joke how I don't follow the recipe book perfectly, I just eye ball it and comes out just as tasty.
I prefer a big nip!!I prefer a "wee nip"![]()
I know someone is going to not believe me, but when I was in high school, I was in the gun club, and on some weekends we would go to one of a few predetermined locations. One of those times was for skeet shooting. And here is the unbelievable part: One kid brought his grandmothers old single shot 16 ga. shotgun that had a Damascus ( wound ) barrel. And he was shooting old paper case shells that were pumpkin-balls ( one-lug ). And he was hitting a lot of the skeet he shot at. In fact, he hit more skeet than anyone else in the group.OT: Loved the episode where granny was skeet shooting with a rifle.
One of my professors took his side by side shotgun to the Olympics in 1952 to compete in trap shooting. The other competitors laughed. Everyone knew that you needed to have an over and under configuration to be competitive. He won the gold medal.I know someone is going to not believe me, but when I was in high school, I was in the gun club, and on some weekends we would go to one of a few predetermined locations. I even mentioned to him that he should not be shooting a pumpkin-ball from a Damascus gun. He just said that they were some old shells that his family wanted to get rid of.
