In my area PP prices jumped about $9 for 5 qt. Within last few months (winter to summer) and now higher than Mobil 1 Extended Performance ...
so I am test driving Mobil 1 Extended Performance 10Wx30 in one car! As far oil burning i give it A+++ best ever! I will try PP 10Wx30 next if price goes back to normal. Before Mobil 1 Extended Performance i had PP 5Wx30.
Same size jugs? I can only find 4.4 ltrs of Mobil but 5 ltrs is never a problem with Pennzoil?
CDN Tire, a popular auto/oil place up here currently has Mobil 4.4 + a 1 ltr bottle on for $65.99.

Pennzoil Platinum, in a 5 lt jug is $53.99.

I don't know about you, but I don't think getting another 400 mils of oil for another $12 bucks is a great deal?
I bought PPPP 5Wx30 in November time frame for ~$21.xx for 5 qt. jug. Then in April i went to get PPPP 10Wx30 and all PPPP were ~$29.xx per 5 qt.
Mobil 1 Extended Performance (Extended Performance) was ~$28.xx for 5qt. Same price as PP or a little less ... Not a major price difference but I decided to give Mobil 1 Extended Performance a try and see how it goes. So far after 4K miles the oil is still at the full mark! I am very impressed oil burning (noack?) wise and maybe hooked. lol
However I will give a PPPP 10Wx30 a try and compare next time if PP prices go back to normal.
I want to figure out if 10Wx30 in general was the cause of near 0 (low noack) oil loss of if it's because of Mobil 1 Extended Performance. I have used conventional 10Wx30 in same car but had to add some oil, never zero like Mobil 1 Extended Performance. With PPPP 5Wx30 i also had to add some oil as well but not too much.
As far as millage wise I don't pay much attention to what EP (15K miles) or any other oil company say. I try not to go over 7K miles with synthetic and do my own touch, smell and color test... Speaking of which, the color with Mobil 1 Extended Performance has stayed pretty clean/good (kind of light brown) after 4K miles. But I know people argue over the color and the what it does or does not represent ...
