I used Mobil's Oil Selection feature on their website for my wife's 2020 Camry 4cylinder and it only recommended AFE 0w16 and none of their other choices. Curious as to why that may be.
Because it's the only 0w-16 they sell. I'll send you a pdf since it says "not for reproduction" and the last time I posted it a mod took it down. Can't blame them as one stated there are these internet bots roaming around looking for anything to use to sue with.
Ok, thanks. Didn't know AFE was their only 0w16. I cut the cord on using TGMO 0w20 in my '23 Tacoma and the website suggested three choices. I went with the Truck and Suv flavor. On the second OCI with it. Planning on swapping out the Camry's oil next. So I guess I'll go with AFE.
Most of the oil maker "What fit's my car" wizards will only reflect what the manufacture specs for the car. None of them will ever say a 5W-30 oil will work in my Mazdas, only the 0W-20 that is specified by Mazda. Liability I'm sure.
I’m assuming it’s also the oil recommended in the owner’s manual. Exxon-Mobil would not deviate from that. It’s up to you to make a decision about using something other than the recommendation.
