Mobil1 3 pack, 5 quart at Walmart

I'm sorry, it's not your math that's wrong. it's also your reading comprehension.

Let's break it down:

> My Camaro takes 10 qt. So buying two would be 3 OCI.

Camaro takes 10qt (per OCI),
so Buying two (two boxes of 3 packs, the topic being discussed here) yielding a total 30qts
would be 3 OCI (each OCI being 10qt, being 30 qts total, for 3 OCI).

Two "3 packs" = 10?

Better check your math.
I use 2, 5 quart jugs for an oil change. 2 x 3 (pack) is = 6.
6/2 = 3 (Oil Change Interval).
I do not need the math lesson. Go ask Exon why they put them in 3 packs. I would prefer 4 packs.

Given that the 3x 5Qt box has gone on sale for $24 a few times before, yeah, you can definitely beat that price.
I think that was a price mistake, but ya great price. I got like 15, 5 quart jugs of Castrol 5w20 EP for 12$ back in 2021. Gonna try and sell them soon because all my cars take 0w40.

And many vehicles take 4, 4.5, or 5 qts.

Buying three packs does not evenly fit. Nor does a three pack fit an 8qt. vehicle.

Okay and? They could buy 3 packs to stock up when prices fall.

15qts gets you a lot closer to 16qts than 5qts does.

I run 0W-40 and saw this earlier. Not sure how accurate it is, but the pic in the ad of the reverse of the bottle shows API SN. The bottles I bought last week are SP, and were $3 more.
It's not what the pic says. I bought a 3 pack of Euro 0-40 a couple weeks ago strictly because the pic of the bottle showed it as being pre SP...it was SP when I got it.

Why does anyone sell anything in a "3 pack"?
I'm guessing it has to do more with the logistics of getting it to you than anything else. I buy the 12Qt "garage box" when my local store has them (which isn't often) but I always have some odd number of containers because I have two cars that take 5Qts, two 6s, one 7 and one 8.5

Yeah this. It's what the box fits and is the largest unit comfortably carried by everyone in the chain (under 40 lbs or thereabouts.)

Walmart made a big deal about coming out with a slightly longer semi-trailer that takes another row of pallets, so they look at this stuff better than any other retailer on the planet.
