Third UOA on this Gen V LT1-powered 6-speed Camaro (Not LT9 as noted in the report). The engine is completely stock and sees about 80% highway use on a daily 40 mile commute, returning an average of about 25mpg every week. Unless I'm running it hard, oil temps sit between 195 and 205 despite the lack of a real oil cooler....I guess 10 quarts absorbs a lot of heat.
This car sat on the lot for a bit before I got hold of it during the unusually cold winter of 2024 down here in the SE and likely saw some rough treatment during that time which I theorized was the reason for the high-ish Iron that is thankfully trending down.
Oil used was Mobil1 Supercar 0W-40 and an OEM ACDelco PF64 filter. I'm using this oil to because I'm required to run a DEXOS approved oil to maintain my CPO warranty. I did use a bit of oil during this run which is unusual but I did run the car hard in the upper RPMs here and there....so I'm not worried about it. I did notice OA is no longer flagging the oxidation which is a good call, as this level is normal for this oil.
Past oils used were both Mobil1 ESP X3 0W-40s with the same filters.
