I used to use it when Meijer would carry it. I've since gone to Quaker State for a bargain name brand oil when I need some in a pinch. I haven't seen it at my local Meijer in a while, though I think some of them may still carry it.

Don't know if it's the best-best, but it's definitely up there. Personally it's my favorite conventional oil.

I guess i shouldn't classify it as "best", Rather that is likely provides the best performance per dollar as it is always priced very well.

It is my go-to conventional as well.

Last year I bought some on sale at Walmart for about $1.75/quart and bought 4 oil changes worth.

The used oil analysis came back ok. It is a fine oil for short (3k~) intervals. Maybe up to 5k if it is primarily highway driving.

Good luck!

Or maybe up to 10K

Or maybe use data instead of the seat of your pants or gut feel to make decisions/recommendations.

I guess he hasn't read all the info you provided!

Bottom line here......this is a fantastic oil. It is my (conventional) oil of choice as i am always running it in something i own. We can talk about varnish and all this other [censored] about conventionals..but they work . My old sport trac is still going strong 200000 miles later on just plain old valvoline (another great conventional ). Just match the lube to ur change interval and you will be fine.

Seat of my pants?

I judge how long to use my oils based on used oil analysis just like everyone else on here.

Once again, its called 5000 for a reason.
