Mobil 1 M1-212 oil filter cut open

Virgin filter cut. Received dented from my order. Parted ways with the other four. Not impressed, especially with the ADBV not seated properly and clearly from manufacturing; not ripped, but have a strong feeling it would leak. Flimsy can. Filter media felt ... well, cheap. Though the louvers looked great and nice wide openings. Judge for yourselves beyond my interpretation.

Refunded and I have superior options at my disposal for less than half the cost retail. But, everyone gets to enjoy a virgin cut of this for their amusement.

Exactly. This is old stock, and I used to run Wix filters until they switched to this same design too. The current Mobil 1 filters though are fantastic and my go-to for the past few changes.

FYI to those interested:
To prevent getting old stock (most likely with clearance or bulk purchases), the new desirable filter is made in Vietnam (usually) or S. Korea and also has the business end wrapped in plastic.
