Mobil 1 FS European Car Formula Full Synthetic Motor Oil 0W-40

I use this oil in my brothers BMW 325i and the typical OCI is 15k, 18 months and the oil analysis comes back fine!

Not knowing much about oil, aside from M1 0W40 having great results in my cars over many years and miles, I wonder if this is similar to M1 0W-40 before the change a few years ago when the rules for what was deemed synthetic were changed.

Looks like M1 now has a new FS oil in 5w40 which seems a little redundant with the 0w40. This one is "FS X2"... so 2x as good lol? Any thoughts on this?

I will speculate that FS is a key word for the flagship base oil and additives. However; I'm guessing.
