2024 Tacoma TRD Off Road, 6 speed manual transmission, with a 2.4l turbo engine.

I use Mobil 1 Extended Performance 0w20 and this is what my truck sees daily.

1 min warmup, timed. Drive 1/2 mile at 20 mph, basically coasting down slight hills. Then 2 miles at 45 mph on flats. 2 min idle time in DD drive through. Back to 2 miles at 55 mph, then highway which I enter on at 70mph accelerating to 80 or 85 on a big hill. This is the first time the engine sees boost. After that it's just normal highway for 10 miles at 85mph. Then basically 9 miles of back roads at 35 to 45mph. Very little stop and go.

Home is about the same, except highway hill is at the end of my drive. 1 minute warmup prior to leaving for home.

with all that said, 6k miles should not be a lot to ask of this oil, correct? It rarely sees any short trips. The turbo worries me.

Why did you choose this oil and this 6K miles OCI? What oil did you use before that?

I use this oil in my 2.5L Camry engine for the last few years with 5K OCI, but I wouldn't use in a turbo engine.

I use Mobil 1 Extended Performance 5w30 in my 5.0 F150 and 3.6 Outback for 7500 OCI's with excellent results. The Outback is 210k and I will do the sixth UOA sometime around 220-230k to see how the numbers compare to the first UOA that was around 20k IIRC.

I'm using Mobil 1 Euro 0w40 in a BMW X3, which is a GTDI and really harsh on oil. I would have no issue running EP in any turbo for 5k OCI if the oil met the spec.

Timing your steps isn't as valuable as simply knowing your oil temps.
Does Toyota outline what they warrant as acceptable engine performance, such as consumption? Is that acceptable to you? How does this oil choice compare to that benchmark? Does it exceed the wear requirements? deposit requirements? Not everyone shares the same expectations of engine performance and longevity, and a lot of that variability trickles down upon the oil as well.

Well, I was commenting on the Extended Performance 0W-20 that I use for at least the last 3 years, not 5W-30. The OP asks for that viscosity, not 5W-30.
Do you have UOA for Extended Performance 0W-20?

I'm pretty certain I've read this exact same description, and you were advised to skip the 1 warmup, but I see that didn't sink in.

Like others have recommended, I wouldn't run a 0W-20 in it. That's the first thing I'd change.

You can buy better oils for less than Mobil 1 Extended Performance. Why not pick any VW 504 oil with guaranteed performance, including long drain service, for much less than Mobil 1 Extended Performance?

If you insist on Mobil 1 Extended Performance, I'd run 3000 mile intervals.

All sounds good unless you are eating donuts every day 👀

Your duty cycle is easy for Mobil 1 Extended Performance imo. Curious on your driving habits given it's a manual. What rpm are you seeing on the big hill at 85 mph?

Probably 5K maximum. Too soon to tell on the longevity of these engines.

I have the FWD version of that engine in my TX500h. Mine gets serviced every 3,000 miles.

Curious. What is the better oil for less than Mobil 1 Extended Performance? Maybe ESP? At my local Wally, it´s $2 cheaper. That ain´t much, but I am also not sure it is a better oil.

So what are the others for less?
