Got the latest oil anaylasis report back on my Blazer today.

How does it look to everyone? Keep in mind back at 81,247 miles it got a new crank, main bearings, gaskets, sealants and engine flush thanks to the oil lines bursting. Thankfully that was covered under the warranty!! I used dino 5W30 for the first 3000 miles, changing it out at 1000 miles, and then switching it to Mobil 1 5W30 at 83,512 miles, which it has been getting since. How is it looking? I'm assuming the bearings are still slowly breaking in, or that is some left over silicon from the sealant? I'm going to change my oil at 2500 miles this time and then get the anayalsis done again.

Thanks,

Joe

Ok, here are my results, all typed out. They said in the comments that the silicon has been cut in half since my last sample, but the bearing metals copper and lead are improved but still high. Upper end wear looks ok. No harmful contamination in the oil that would cause unusual wear except for the silicon. Keep in mind the above history on my truck when looking at this.

Thanks,

Joe

How many miles are on this oil sample? It's not clear in the original post.

I can see that this is SuperSyn, and it's nice to see the viscosity of 5w30 holding strong at 10.0cst and not thinning out.
