Has Walmart stopped carrying Mobil Advanced Fuel Economy 0W-30 or is there a shortage? Every store with in 100 miles is out and they are out of stock online.

Given the multiple supply chain crises we have throughout the States (and world), I'm surprised that the "lack of availability" issues are not worse. Believe me, these issues are not getting better anytime soon. Current "important persons" don't have the capability or will.

Good advice: I'd stock up on consumable supplies now, and for at least the next three years. That includes oil, filters, and other car parts for those vehicles you wish to keep around. Rough times are ahead...

Bad shortage. My store was out of M1 0W-16 for nearly 2 months before we got 5 cases of 3 units each in. Funny story, for that whole time we had a ton of 0W-30 in stock but now that's gone too

I couldnt get Supertech 75W-90 gear oil the other day 🤔

So i went and ordered 5 bottles online and they were supposed to be delivered today. Now one bottle is coming tomorrow and the other 4 are coming Nov 25th

I just bought a couple of jugs there about a month ago. I went there yesterday and the whole shelf was BARE. Not a jug of ANYTHING to be had. This is getting worse and worse as time passes.

They haven't had any Pennzoil Platinum 5W-20 in MONTHS. (Most every 5.7 HEMI uses it). I ended up ordering 5 jugs on line. I was able to get the Ultra Platinum.

They didn't even have Mobil 1 High Mileage in 10W-40. Normally they have a shelf full of it. It's as common as dirt. I think all of this is going to get a LOT WORSE, before any of it gets any better.

You gotta order from WM online. Orders over $35 ship free. Two 5 quart jugs of 0-20 Afe incoming for me.

I just ordered 3 jugs of Mobil 1, 10W-40 High Mileage Full Synthetic. Coming on the 10th. Amazon said, "Normally Ships In 1 To 2 MONTHS" for the same thing. Plus it was over $50.00 @ jug!

Listed as 40 bucks on Amazon, could have it by the 9th. Sunday gums up the works. So 3 "business" days if you count Saturday.

Walmart has their own problems on top of everything else. Amazon seems to find this out and crank up prices.

Costco seems to always be stocked with their Kirkland-branded 0W-20, 5W-30, and 15W-40 viscosities. Certain Mobil1 flavors are always stocked as well -- for a considerably higher cost. The Kirkland oils are good.

Our Alaska Wal-Mart stores are not stocked often. One must get there just after a shipment and stocking. Otherwise, they're MT.

I ordered for WM's website and had it delivered to my house last week. The cheaper 5 qt jugs are out of stock on the website. My local store never stocks 0w-30 of any kind.

edit: the oil received was the older API SN / SN PLUS

Every time I enter our Walmart close to home I notice the same thing. There are more and more shelves empty of food items. Not so noticeable in other non food sections of the store. I hear all kind of excuses from talking heads on CNN/FOX/MSNBC cable news (the few seconds I can stand to watch any) stating that there are thousands of supply chain jobs available to Americans (illegals too I guess) that remain unfilled for various reasons. Some they mention are ... some younger people simply won't work no matter who / what / where or salaries. Other excuses range from "really?" no child care! REALLY? How did all Americans and humans work in the past who had children? Others are stuff like Vaccine mandates from one state or business to another. Its as if some alien "space mother ship" landed and took all the young to middle age working capable folks away! EVERY SINGLE place of business has the HELP WANTED - "We pay sign on BONUS and higher than minimum wage hourly rates!"

Strange things are being done in the USA today. We hear and see all this YET a news story yesterday made mention of at least 60,000 Big Rig driving jobs, plus thousands of container unloading stevedore positions and rail road or other transportation job openings. But then they report double the amount of people applied so why are the jobs unfilled? Also reports of individuals saying they applied for over 200 to 500 positions YET not one call back or offer of employment!?!? Some one is exaggerating or flat out lying to us. In addition to these reports... Every Home Depot and Lowes parking lot across the USA are packed filled with what resembles a mini shanty town each morning with hundreds of illegals hanging and flagging drivers down asking for food / money or work. You can not enter a store or a gas station here in Louisiana without being out numbered by foreign language speaking people... Its is a big obvious change in the last 12 to 16 months that we have been invaded as a country. Not hating on or picking on any certain "people" but simply what is obviously going on. If the streets and towns are filled with unemployed people (legal or illegal) how and why are so many jobs going unfilled?

As someone seeking new work a lot of these jobs are ******** and lie about what they pay to get you into an interview, or lie about the hours. I've been on multiple interviews where they promise full time work and then "Well that's after 6 months, if things work out". I've heard things like we pay UP TO X, but this location pays Y. Then you have the boat load of companies who just fish for resumes to see what is out there and aren't hiring. This was going on long before the labor shortage. Some of those listings have been on job boards for literal YEARS. Not to mention working somewhere that is understaffed is usually a total slog, or something was screwed up enough to cause them leave in the first place. Some local places around here have burned through the town's workforce and are known as bad employers. We all know it, and have heard about it, so we know to avoid them.

I can get interviews all day, but rarely are they what they position was for, the location applied to, the pay rate advertised, the amount of hours advertised, or even the shift. They act confused when you don't want to work at another location an hour away during a different shift, in a totally different position.

A lot of places need to learn what a job description is as well. I'm sick of doing 3 different jobs I never agreed to and we never talked about. As soon as I hear "many hats", "rock star", "highly adaptable" I'm out. I've been there and done that. Until you get blasted for not answering an email promptly because you were taking the office TRASH out it seems crazy. I'm also sick of answering to a handful of different management who can't figure out what they want. Some places you can't even do your job because everyone wants it done different from the boss down. The right way depends on who is around you that day.

Some of the jobs suck too, being screamed at by customers all day is beat. It's not worth it. You are a captive audience and after a few months it does really bad stuff to your head. You can't say anything because corporate will fire you and send them a coupon with a letter about how sorry they are. I interviewed for one position to replace someone that hasn't even been fired yet. They told me they planned to fire him in my interview. No thanks! The general public is really screwed up and mean right now, and I've been working with them for most of my adult life. I had people trying to fight me in the parking lot over mask policies at one point. What do you want to pay someone to deal with that? Guess what? They didn't do anything to those kind of people.

A lot of people who don't have to work aren't right now because its just not worth it. I have a lot of friends with dual income who just cut back and someone isn't working. This isn't a conspiracy a lot of places are miserably out of touch and will fail or have to adapt. It's not that people don't want to work, its that its not worth doing for what they offer. When you look at how much you might be able to cut back on, its not a crazy idea. If anything it's more boring than anything else.

I don't have kids, but I know the cost of child care for both parents to work meets or exceeds what you can make at some of these jobs part time. What's the point of working just to cram it back into child care? Would you pay 50 - 100 bucks a week to spend time with your kids if you could verses working? I spent a lot of time with my grandparents growing up so my parents could both work full time. If they weren't around not sure how that would have worked.

I'm going through an interview process right now and I'm carefully watching for red flags.

YES I heard from my nephew who is looking that what those signs say vs what they offer is way different in a lot of cases. Plus he says lots of those companies ARE NOT hiring cause they are trying to use the current climate to TAKE benefits away and offer simple part time to get out of giving worker the benefits working folks NEED.
