I mixed 0w-30 SS and 0w-40 SS to bump the viscosity a bit since I had a couple of the 0-40 left and they want nothing to do with the mixing when you talk to them. But they won't say that on their web site. So if they won't put it on paper or their web site why should I believe the tech dept? They want to sale oil and if you have to buy 6 qt's instead of 3, well thats better for their bottom line.
I've yet seen two oils when mixed that will hurt the engine and I don't care if you're mixing 0/20 with 20/50. I know guys that mix 0/20 with 0/50 and get great UOA even after 6 to 8 hours of track time plus street miles.
