Mixing AMSOIL Universal ATF

Hey fellas i own a 2002 Tacoma V6 TRD 4x4 with the automatic and im currently running Redline D4 the system calls for D3 and im looking to replace it with amsoil universal atf since i dont want to completly flush out the whole system since the fluid is clean already can i do drain and fill? The pan holds about 4.75-5.00 qrts of fluid. Ive got 50K on the truck now and 25K since i flushed it out with redline D4. Thanks.

I emailed Dave at Redline some time ago and he assured me that the D4 was compatible with conventional ATF. Amsoil states their fluid is also completely compatible with other synthetic and conventional ATFs. I would guess that it is OK, but maybe an email to Amsoil wouldn't hurt.

Do a drain/refill.
Common spec ATF's can be mixed without problems.
