Really dumb question, don't know why I didn't ask you smart people first!

Can you guys see any potential harm in using both these products in the same tank of gas?

The Berryman's product is the "Injector Cleaner Fuel Treatment". The ingredients are: Mixed Xylenes, Hydrocarbon Solvent, Ethyl Benzene, and N-Propanol...The MMO is regular MMO.

Added 6oz MMO and 12oz bottle of the Berryman(treats 12-20 gallons) to nearly 16 gallons of gas.

My thoughts were the Berryman's would clean the injectors, and the MMO would lube them. But after I filled up, I started worrying that there could be some crazy chemical reaction happening between the 2 products! Please make me feel better.

Don't worry at all. I've mixed acetone and MMO before UCL and FP, with no problems.

I did the same with MMO, hoping to add lubricity to the acetone.

If you want to use the two products, I would use the MMO first to help soften the carbon and then follow up with the Berryman to finish cleaning. I wouldn't mix them. It wouldn't hurt anything, I just think it would be more effective to use MMO first and then follow up with Berryman.

Since I've had the car, I ran techron first, then Gumout Regane a tank after that. After that I used MMO alone to lube the fuel system. Saw good results. Then I changed the oil+filter.

Since then I have tried the Lucas UCL which I literally gained more than 4mpg from previous tank. This tankful I used the Berryman+MMO, just because the Berryman's was on clearance and I wanted to try it....but I also figured I should keep up with the lubrication, so I added the MMO also.

I've already mixed them and they're sitting in my tank right now. I'm not too worried that they will be less effective used in conjunction, just that there is some sort of catastrophic chemical reaction between the 2, and I failed to ask BEFORE putting them in!

I swear, it seemed like a great idea at the time.

It always does. I just wish the "what was I thinking" never followed half of my bright ideas.

FWIW ..although I saw the most improvement with starting with MMO in a before after thingy with my minivan 3.0 ..the most profound drivablity increase in my jeeps (which have never seen MMO yet) is with Regane. Seafoam ..nada ...Techron ..zip ...Regane ..you could really feel the difference in engine response in lower speed environments. Fuel economy was up slightly (which is a good % increase in a jeep that averages 18mpg). I'm beginning to see the benefit of doing it, as recommended, at 3k intervals. I'll start at 9k and work back until I see no results.

Hehehe

Sounds like a good plan you have with the Regane. I'll be interested to see how often it is still effective.

I think it's a real good product. I also saw better results with it than with Techron. The Regane did make my idle fluctuate a bit for a few days which worried me, but it eventually smoothed out by the tank's end and I was really happy with the $6 I paid for it.

To be fair, I was happy with the techron also. But the Regane is a better deal value-wise and I feel it's a stronger product.

Thanks for the feedback.
