It’s been a while since i changed my own oil (health reasons). When i was taking stock of my tools, I found that my mityvac’s tube was broken where the clip was on it. I see three options…

1. Buy a new similar product (suggestions for which one gladly accepted).
B. Find a replacement hose
Thirdly) Don’t bother.

Since the last one requires no action, that’s where i’m at now. I bought the thing in 2009 when my health made it hard to regularly get under cars. I know it might not be the most effective getting all the oil out — especially on certain engines. FWIW, I have a 1.6L MINI Triton, 5.4L Ford V8, 2.7L Ford twin turbo V6, and a 2.5 L Ford hybrid I4.

If you plan to change your own oil in the future, then try to find a new hose, or just replace it. You only have to do a handful of changes to pay for it, right?

If the rest of the unit is in good shape, just buy the tube.
I believe you will get some satisfaction out of doing your own oil change. Good luck.

Anybody know the tube diameter? And if i can transplant the more solid tubing at the end or need to get it too?

Mytivac is probably the best unit for this kind of job, the price of a new one is 1.5 hrs of labour so you'd recover the price very quickly or you can go to the part store and get the part you need, get OEM https://shop.mityvacparts.com/
