Mitsubishi MZ690072 Virgin C&P

Sorry I cut this. For my 24 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport 2L this will work
In applications suited to Fram 7317 flavors.
A work of art. Pre-lubricated baseplate seal and the baseplate is super smooth and deburred and I have never seen one finer.

The adbv is a perfection fit on both sides. It actually snap fits in place.
The filter media is very consistent and by design no glue on the face and remarkably spotless.

No overspray in the can and rather thick. The bpv. spring fits extremely well and is under a great deal of compression in the can... so much so it's hard to replicate by hand.

The bpv. itself is a nice design that does not wobble or shift.

The baseplate threads are dull and clean.

The design itself is very modular avoiding glue issues and potential debris. Impressive filter. $10 and in volume $8 each

Guessing the adbv is silicone? Time for burn test 😛😛

Out of the dozen or so oil filters in a box from various makes, this last time I used the 90915-yzzn1 by Denso. I don’t know if it’s an optical illusion but the baseplate here is convex on the inside while the others have a slightly concave depression. The media is a darker yellow than Toyota filters have been, but not as dark as the N1. I suspect Mitsu is ordering by their tweaks to the Toyota design.
What does base look like on the outside?
media can be held to a bright led flashlight to rough check for light spots.

I have confirmed that it really doesn't matter as a defective Fram has no efficiency. So if you figure that in plus it's oem that works for me. Maybe not others but it is what it is.
There may be some truth to your statement.

With the leak at the leaf spring, and that recent post showing a tear in the internal Fram Ultra filter material at around 4,000 miles, the "cheapened multiple times" Fram Ultra may have a filtering efficiency that could be unsafe for modern engines.

Leaky filters still have efficiency, but the decrease in efficiency depends on the size of the leak. Don't forget that pesky little 0.02% leak at the filter mount threads, lol.
