Mitsubishi Lancer Factory Fill Mobil 1 10w-30

I found it interesting that Mitsubishi chose the 10w-30 for this car. It is a turbo and makes sense bc of Mobil's 30wt. oils it is the highest at 3.2, which compared to others, like Amsoil/Redline it's not so good. I guess the 5w-30 wouldn't cut it in this engine??

Maybe....maybe not. Could be that idiot-proofing stuff again. Mitsubishi cannot spec out mobil 1, unless they provide it to you free. So when the owner change their oil, they might use castrol syntec, havoline synthetic, valvoline synpower or another G3 base synthetic.....or even a dino. Perhaps those oils in a 5w30 couldn't cut the mustard.
