what the laughs all about? if you laugh with edyvw's answer then you dont seem to respect the respectable expertise members opinion ,so why you chose this forum?

well,searching for old 0-30 castrol bottles i found this one from 2014:

has bmw ll01 approval but on pds specs says hths 2.9 !!
but the min is 3.5 for ll01 ,isnt it? am i missing something? just for education reasons since its an old badge.

Yes, I was joking, however, there is a long history on the topic of Belgium and German made Castrol 0w30. I’ll see if I can connect you a posting from 2020 on the topic. Meanwhile get ready for your pathway of understanding and try take it down a notch. ;)
 
I change my F56 2.0T oil annually, which works out to about 5K miles. 1st three changes were complementary at the dealer, so it got 0W-20. I did my first change this spring and used liquimoly 5W-30.

As promised, here are some discussions of the " German" Castrol 0w30. We know there is still a " Made in Belgium" version of both 0w30 and 0w40 out there. Some of the posters are no longer on this forum. Enjoy.
