Mid life crisis car; Pacifica

Transit - Long WB, extended.

Custom on the conversion.
What's the plans with this? We sold our condo in SC (not warm enough) I wanted a diesel pusher but believe we've settled on a gigantic toy hauler that will be permanently parked. The garage in the back will be a converted office since she works mostly from home. I'm just looking to leave Ohio after Xmas and come back when i'm sure it won't be cold, so probably mid May. The deals right now are incredible as no ones making many large purchases like this.

I have a mortician friend who has a black Pacifica. He uses it for personal and work use. They are very functional.

The answer to the question, "what do I buy when a PT Cruiser is too stimulating?"

(to each their own, the t shirt mini van = mega fun exist for a reason; I like the Pacific Coast from Honda as a point)

Can fit full size 4x8’ sheet goods with the hatch closed no problem. Run 10’ foot 2x boards down the center. with the hatch closed. Seats for 5 folded down in the floor at all times. Not sure if the Pacifica changed up the interior dimensions but hands down this 2012 Town and Country has been one of the best vehicles I’ve owned.

I am single and don’t have kids but for some odd reason the Chrysler Pacifica looks good to me, especially in this gray with black wheel combo. I have always liked hatchbacks and the minivan is the ultimate hatchback. It has a V6 engine, tons of storage with the seats folding into the floor, it still has a normal looking dash and center stack, no tablet stuck to the dash. It can tow up to 3600 pounds with the available tow package. AWD is available.

Mid life crisis ! I'm thinking more along the lines of a Cranial meltdown lol !
But hey beauty is in the eye of the beholder.....

Go all out, M5 Touring
Those BMW and Audi wagons looked awesome but had surprisingly little useful space. Part of the problem was styling; the cool rear tapering in. From a practical perspective, I thought a sedan with a trunk was more practical for most uses.

We rented a few of those Chrysler minivans over the years. Very nice driving, super comfortable interiors, massive amount of storage space. c.2010 Hertz or Avis gave upgraded us to a top-of-the-line leather bound van and it was shockingly nice.

Toyota has some ultra-premium minivans but they kept them for the wealthy Asian markets. This is the Velfire:

We sell a Pacifica every 3 years to a service that picks up people that pass away at long term care facilities, old age homes, etc.
The only one that makes it easy to have the room the with stow and go.

I'm a sucker for a nice looking minivan too. I know, weird. But I like the current Pacifica and wouldn't mind having one. Something about having a vehicle where you can transport 6 sheets of plywood, and put the washing machine on top of them, close the rear door, and nothing will get wet. Or making it the ultimate dry land version of a party barge. I know the Chrysler has a ton of cupholders 😁.
We had a 2013 Odyssey, with a 3.5L V6, big sneakers and IRS, you could horrify a lot of people”Sporty” cars - if you didn’t have any passengers!

Bouncing the dog off the side doors was frowned upon….

I bought this 1991 Previa 5 speed manual before I got married and had kids. It’s been a tremendous help:

Washing and dryer machines
Drywall sheets to eliminate moldy water damage
Many Craigslist furniture hauling
road-trips with friends to theme parks

I found the thing so useful, that I replaced the engine with a low miles unit to keep it around longer. Cost $3000 8 years ago now. Still running strong.

But yes, minivan practicality is criminally underrated.
