I am single and don’t have kids but for some odd reason the Chrysler Pacifica looks good to me, especially in this gray with black wheel combo. I have always liked hatchbacks and the minivan is the ultimate hatchback. It has a V6 engine, tons of storage with the seats folding into the floor, it still has a normal looking dash and center stack, no tablet stuck to the dash. It can tow up to 3600 pounds with the available tow package. AWD is available.

I'm a sucker for a nice looking minivan too. I know, weird. But I like the current Pacifica and wouldn't mind having one. Something about having a vehicle where you can transport 6 sheets of plywood, and put the washing machine on top of them, close the rear door, and nothing will get wet. Or making it the ultimate dry land version of a party barge. I know the Chrysler has a ton of cupholders 😁.

Go for it, I have a 05 Voyager in Mexico w/ 3.3l and it is been fairly reliable. What I like the most is the height, easy to get in and out.

I had that exact van as a rental for 2 weeks. It is a very capable people and thing hauler. The rear seats fold flat easily. I did not try folding the mid seats. The technology was a little flaky on occasion and the screens for hvac etc were not intuitive at all.
It had the full glass roof which I kept closed and covered, too much heat coming in. The engine and transmission were strong, tons of torque steering though. Fuel economy was about 22 with mostly highway driving. Comfortable ergonomics.

That's more like a my mid and future life is over crisis vehicle.

Yup great for parties and hauling things but not in my plans.......yet. If grands kids ever happen later and baby sitting maybe.

Height is definite plus. Even my Accord with bad knees sucks at times.

We just got rid of a 2017. As a whole, I like it and would buy one again if needed. The stow and go alone is a deal maker.

Points to note
- Plenty of power, 9 speed is smooth, fuel economy is solid for a minivan
- Almost all 3.6 V-6s have an oil cooler issue at some point in it's life.
- Take care of the 9 speed. It's not hard, but annoying to change the fluid on it. The 9 speeds are known to be a bit fragile, but I think as a whole they're fine if you change the fluid. We did not and at 100,000 miles it started getting pissy, a couple fluid changes and it got much better but IMO, the damage had been done.
- Rear spark plugs are a ultra PITA, pull the manifold and all that jazz, but they're 100k mile plugs.
- The spare tire is cool. It's stored deflated and comes with an inflator/deflator. Put it on, inflate it, take it off deflate it and put it away.
- One of the easiest oil changes you'll do, cartridge filter on top, easily accessible drain plug on the bottom.

I had one for a rental for a week and it was Ok but still a Stellantis product. I want a ford transit but the wife put the slap down on that one.

There can be no better proof that beauty is in the eye of the beholder ... To each, his own.

Does she camp?

For under $200K custom Transit set up.
She used to camp. Her idea of roughing it now days is Hilton/Marriot. I don't want one for a daily driver, just for those road trips when you need more room or have more than a few people. I ended up getting one from hertz years ago on a trip from Ft Lauderdale to key west when the kids were younger and loved it. I't didn't feel nearly as big as what it was, good turn radius and very comfy.

I must say that I have always thought that the Pacifica was a great looking minivan, even though I don’t like driving that type of vehicle and never had one (even when I was married and we had three kids between us) I just don’t really like driving vehicles that have me sitting higher up. I like small cars where I am low to the ground (and I often make them even lower than stock too) Maybe a Pacifica with a 3” suspension drop would be more to my liking 🤩

So you weren't joking? I need pics of this. I doubt that would sway her. I'm looking at a triple axle camper to be delivered in central florida for our winter get aways and you'd think I'm asking her to stay in a Uhaul! This thing is nicer than our 1st house

My family ranch has a 2014 caravan that has hauled lumber and hundreds of pounds of concrete, fits pallets just fine, so there's that use case too. It rides nice and a bit less tarted up vs the whale that is the Pacifica. Wreckers have plenty too for spare parts. 🤡
