I guess I'll be calling Lin that for a while. We just bought her a new '07 Mustang V6 premuim auto in redfire with the Pony package. What a sweet car! I love the 1960's styling inside and out. And it runs strong for a sixer. I'm leaning towards yellow bottle Pennzoil 5w30 ($10 for 5 quarts at WM) and of course Motorcraft filters.

You're supposed to use an oil who's bottle color most closely matches the color of the car. In your case, you should use Motorcraft oil.

Seriously though, the Pennzoil you're eye-balling will be the cat's meow in your new Pony. With a BITOGer maintaining it, the body will disentigrate before the engine wears out.

Yeah, if I had a new car that I really liked - I'd use a full synthetic in it. In a daily driver, compact car - I wouldn't have a problem using a normal oil at 3k ocis with one or two UOAs.

Either way, both oils will enable your engine to outlast the body unless you're doing 600,000 miles a year or more.
