OK, so you disagree and tell the poster to keep quiet ?

As a self proclaimed seeker of the truth, do you honestly believe that a few psi difference (if that) in filter DP is going to have a material effect on the engine ?


A Fram "racing oil filter" (or similar) might give a few more PSI and therefore a little more flow to the engine at red line IF the oil pump was in pressure relief. A filter like that would help out in situations where a highly modified engine has some crazy insane oil pump that put out way more flow volume than a stock oil pump.

So, mjoe ... my comment was about normal vehicles on the road, not some super modified race engine. 99.999% of the stock cars on the road can't even make the oil pump go into pressure relief mode at redline when the oil is at full temperature - I couldn't on my Z06 (which is pretty high performance in stock form) no matter what oil filter I was using. I bet if I put some crazy aftermarket oil pump on it, then that might change.
