Wonder why? If it's worthwhile bringing them into a small market like Australia, surely they'd sell enough in the US to make a profit. Or maybe they don't make the wagon in LHD. Either way, the 6 wagon is a great looking car in the metal, better than the sedan. A neighbor has a top of the line (GT Touring?) diesel wagon and I get jealous every time I see it!

Yes, it may steal some sales of the higher profit SUV/CUV CX5, CX7 ...

Also, manufactures don't like to support a very slow selling vehicle(s). Cost of design/test/manufacture/part inventory and support ... is fairly high, and keeping a special model that may sell at 2-3% of regular model doesn't make sense for them.

We have very few wagons in US compares with SUV/CUV. Every manufacture have 1 or 2 or more SUV/CUV(except Ferrari, Lambo ...), but only few have wagon.

Situation is exactly the same here. Passenger car sales are in free fall, yet the CUV market is booming.

Still a few other wagons available here though, such as - Audi A4 and A6, BMW 2, 3 and 5 series, Citroen C5, Ford Mondeo, Holden Cruze and Commodore, Hyundai i30 and i40, Mercedes CLA, C-Class, E-Class, and CLS (plus AMG variants of each), Peugeot 308 and 508, Renault Megane, Skoda Rapid, Octavia and Superb, VW Golf and Passat, Volvo V40 and V60...and probably others I've overlooked.

I guess, compared to the US, we're spoiled for choice!
