Head issues with the cylinder deactivation and oil leaking from timing cover on '22+. Drivetrain is solid.
Ok so you like it over all? How do you rate the AC? I was reading some feel the AC has a tough time keeping the cab cool? I see you live in FL like me.....AC is a top priority for me. Thank you!2022+?
They had some issues with 2020 and previous years, but changed the cylinder heads to correct the issue. They did away with CD in 2021, I’m assuming this was to correct the issue, and it came back in 2022. All of the issues I’ve read about are on pre-2020 models.
Our 2024 CX50 has it and it seems fine. With that said, we are at 16k, so that’s not really a milestone to go by when longevity is concerned.
I agree with your statement about the drivetrain. I still say that Mazda is one of the few Manufacturers that I still have faith in when it comes to reliability and a solid drivetrain.

I had a 2015 NA model and a 2019 turbo model. Highly recommend the turbo.Hi and TiA. I am considering buying a used version of these cars. Any known issues with either? Things to look out for? Looking at 2020 and newer.
Ceramic tint on all glass surfaces lets even the most anemic AC work fine. I do all my cars, especially my EV's this way, and don't take much of a range hit at all in 100*f weather (maybe 5%?).Go Turbo. It just fits the powerband much better. The black interior, like ALL black interiors, does get hotter, and makes an A/C work a bit harder, but I've had mine in the hot Arkansastan summer sun without issues as to keeping it cool. I have a 2024 Signature.
I would definitely agree on that. I only ceramic tinted the two front, as the rest of the car already had a tint to it. ( I wanted to keep the same shade all around).Ceramic tint on all glass surfaces lets even the most anemic AC work fine. I do everything. 100% of the glass in the car. My tint shop makes it match.I would definitely agree on that. I only ceramic tinted the two front, as the rest of the car already had a tint to it. ( I wanted to keep the same shade all around).
I find the AC to be weaker than other vehicles. Its not a showstopper or anything, but its noticeable.Ok so you like it over all? How do you rate the AC? I was reading some feel the AC has a tough time keeping the cab cool? I see you live in FL like me.....AC is a top priority for me. Thank you!
