Does your history of vehicle usage suggest that it might be an appropriate candidate for an extended OCI? (Not every vehicle can or should do them.)

If so, have you done any UOA's to determine whether you can safely extend the OCI somewhat using the current Pennzoil oil? (That's where I would spend my money first.)

turn the OM right side up and read it--3K is a waste of time money and resources. 5K on QSGB or any other dino, and you'll get tired of the truck before it gets tired of you
 
Go 5K on conventional oil without worry. My Ford Ranger was sold at 165K miles without issues. I sold it to get a higher mileage car.
