Over many years have stayed with OEM fluids for coolant and transmission fluids.
My trusted Lexus was involved in an accident and bought it back from insurance (its true value was shocking).
For a change (with the value so low nothing to loose) my 60K service was up and swiched out OEM fluid with Maxlife.
I must say the transmission has never been happier, the shifts are like butter and even got 1MPG more.
Clearly as others have said its a mystery soup and works perfect for my Toyo transmission - made me a believer of the fluid.

For my own vehicles I usually splurge for amsoil. However, for everyone else’s Toyotas, maxlife has been my primary goto. We recently swapped it into my son’s 4R at about 100k and the difference was unquestionably evident. It also maintains its shift quality far, far longer and more consistently than WS. I’m not particularly impressed with WS.

Totally agree!! WS was notchy on the transmission (forever always stayed with WS) and clearly MaxLife surpasses it in shift quality. Having said that T-IV was like butter on the 5 speed Highlander which daughter totalled.
