Masters of the Universe

I was a huge He-Man fan as a kid in the 80's. So, when a new Masters of the Universe movie came out, I immediately assumed it would be terrible and not worth watching, so I chose to ignore it.

Being bored with YouTube lately, I settled on watching it (Amazon Prime) during my treadmill workout. I hate to admit this, but I cannot wait to get back on the treadmill and start watching from where I left off.

It's dumb. It's got modern overtones that are in your face. It's cliche. BUT I LIKE IT.....I'm very disappointed in myself.

I said the exact same thing. One of my favorite as a kid. I was expecting it to be terrible. By no means was it great, but I actually enjoyed it.

I caught it in the theatre with my son. It was actually much better than I thought it would be. They overplayed the silliness with Skelator a bit much, but it was a fun watch.

I didn't like it at all. (They can't please everyone, though.)

As mentioned above, the silliness with Skeletor made him look like a bufoon, and the "bizarre adult activity" themed references became tiresome after the 10th time. (Especially since it was the same one, over and over.) Poor Fisto.
I get it; it's a movie based on an 80s cartoon. I think they could have made it an interesting movie instead of the spoof it is.

I’ve decided I really shouldn’t watch it with my kids. It was made for GenX to watch with other GenX people, or kids above 15.
