Master instant heater 325

So I recently acquired 2 older master instant heaters 325000 btu fuel line was bad it had a 1/8 copper all i had was a 1/4 inch clear plastic so I used that heater will only fire with back cover off if it's on it will only spray diesel any help is appreciated pump pressure is at 100psi per factory spec
