It isn’t the proverbial end of the month and I’m not aware of a police convention or a political convention but for some reason every police car is activated and occupied from old meter maids, cycles, rusted out cop trucks, police suburbans, even the antique “cop cars” the departments keep as labled up novelty anti drug cop cars are occupied and trolling on every block for close to 100 miles.

Big mix of Sheriff, County and Local .

The only thing I can tell is that the leaves changed color, maybe trying to monetize the large increase in foreigners driving rentals and Illinois drivers. (Keeping Wisconsin green)

My Honda that constantly burns out drivers headlights did so Thursday and I immediately got pulled over just before leaving the highway, given a verbal warning got about 4 blocks from the apartment and got another warning albeit written. Only about 5 minutes between and I was hoping to get to bed.

Not sure what is going on but I haven’t seen this many active patrols before outside a large multi car pileup decades ago.

The other odd thing is normally when all the desk jockeys are on patrol there are usually police helicopters and planes trolling primary highways but I didn’t notice any this round.

Never mind over 100 midwesterner agencies have combined for special enforcements activities across the state.

Not a conspiracy, every police sanctioned jallopy is on the road near “hot spots” to address safety and speeding. It’s actually mentioned on a few news outlets.

Mind you this doesn’t “bother me” it’s just sort of the same reaction I would have if everyone I met was dressed as a firefighter or a clown or a doctor , it would seem a little strange.

If every car on the road was a 2000 Honda Insight I would have a huh that’s wierd reaction

Never heard of it on a wider level, but often law enforcement agencies in a metro area will have a "targeted enforcement crackdown" over a weekend or something. It's more of a publicity stunt or gimmick to show the "citizens" that they're working.

Zombie outbreak? They are eating the people.

"Send more cops!"
Attributed to a zombie calling for more cops/food on a police radio in Return of the Living Dead (1985)
