Last week or so, TS posted a comparison of Amsoil ATM 10w30 and ASL 5w30. Interestingly, they were both of the same formulation, though one is more shear stable than the other. Why?
In addition, is it a myth or is it really true that ATM does not thicken as badly as ASL because of the lower Volatility, even though the difference is only 0.3%.
Lastly, what is the longest that I should run the following Amsoil products if I don't plan on doing a filter change:
ASL/ATM/AFL- 1-year/7,500-10,000 miles?
TSO- 1-year/10,000-12,000 miles?
Thanks,
Michael
BTW, if anyone here is a Amsoil Preferred Customer, it'd be great if you could PM me with a price list. I want to see the actual pricing before I join.
