MANN air filters are some of the best, as they make OEM filters for many Euro cars where the air filter interval is 40K miles.

Good, then with one post I can decide it is right for my vehicle.

Here we go. The filter is VERY sturdy, the gasket is solid and feels like great quality. The pleats are numerous and deep, the paper feels strong. My mind is blown, it is a fantastic filter. Oh, and Made in USA too. The Purolator that came out was made in China. I highly recommend MANN filters after this one.

The OEM Mann filter I just took out of out 2008 Nissan Sentra was made in Mexico. I replaced it with a Wix that looked absolutely identical and was made in Mexico as well...

i am going to have to be using mann now since my stps and frams are mexican and chinese garbage now.

I've noticed that the Mann filters I get for my VW's and my wife's Audi are made in Germany, but my father in law's Dodge Mann filter is made in USA

A lot depends on where the vehicle was made. That is where the demand normally is and therefore the manufacturing of the filters. And why I have filters from 17 countries.

Mann has generally good products. I have an interesting study going on right now on two F12 Volvo Trucks. It looks like the Donaldson will outlast the Mann air filter by 50 to 70% in it's quest for the 30" of resistance that Volvo specs for change.

Update: At 7,500 miles (roughly) The MANN filter is in MUCH better shape than the Purolator was. IT is not bent, deformed, torn at all. And still pretty clean.

Air filters are weird. I always bought Mann filters for my Volvo but in a pinch I was at Schucks and grabbed a Fram. It was identical to the Mann, and made in Germany?

It seems like the sourcing for air filters depends a lot on chance and what model car you have. I will say that OEM air filters seem to be the most consistent, i.e. the one you buy next time will be like the one you bought last time. So if you want to avoid surprises and you're buying online, OEM may be the way to go.

Great pics! I decided to give mann products a whirl on my car ordered a air filter and enough oil filters to get the free shipping from amazon.
