Oil filter from my daughter's high mileage (200k) A6 Quattro C4. 4000 miles on the oil and filter with Delo 400LE 15w40. The can was very thick metal. Some debris from the cutting wheel is visible. Engine was a little sludgey when we bought the car. Valve covers were removed and cleaned and short oil change intervals with a HDEO seem to be cleaning things up. Low measurable oil consumption (less than 1/2 quart) in 4000 miles.

Great looking filter! See, it is possible to manufacture a filter with tight, straight, even pleats.

Good looking filter - I have one lined up for my Accord next oil change. Thanks for the cut and pics.

Though 4k miles generally no torture test, it does look very good.

As for the straight even pleat thought, as the link illustrates even Mahle doesn't have the straight even pleat thing down to an exact science.

Thanks for the pics.
