Do you own any glocks?

Used to, sold them all, always had magazine failures with them.
Could not keep up with all their magazine up-dates, finally gave up.
I need reliable self defense firearms, not a name.

You might be the only person in the world with that problem. Glad you got something more "reliable" lol.

Only one in the world with this problem? really?
You are the one that started this post about Glock magazine problems!
Others on this same post have had issues with Glock magazines, so I would hardly
say it is unique to me.

If you want to defend Glock quality, go ahead, but at least acknowledge they do have magazine problems.
Glock even knows it because they will replace defective ones for free.

Glock issues are swept under the rug and labeled "upgrades" by Glock then it's lost in the koolaid. "Perfection" apparently needs revision from time to time. lol

+1
A re-call is the same for vehicles or any other product, to fix a defective design or lack of quality control. At least Glock is doing the right thing by replacing magazines. I just do not need the magazine issue arising when I need it the most!

What is more reliable, a six round revolver, or a semi-auto that may jam after two rounds?

And why is it in the movies, when a semi-auto handgun jams or is out of ammo, the guy looks at it with disgust, and then throws it on the ground, or at the bad guy? He did not carry extra ammo? No more loaded clips? Does not have the skill to quickly clear a jam?
I know the answer......it was a Glock!

We get it Baltic Bob you hate Glocks
By the way, you showed your lack of knowledge/credibility when you called a mag. a "clip"

I love the Glock bashers.

Who is we?
I do not hate Glocks, I just prefer a more reliable firearm.
In the movies, actors call magazines "clips"....read my post again, but even you knew what I was referring to when I wrote "clip".
It is like calling a revolver a "six-shooter" or a "wheel gun", any credible and knowledgeable firearm enthusiast would know what one is talking about.
Is it OK to use "bullet" instead of "ammo" or "cartridge"? I need to know, the angst is wearing on me!

I love the Glock worshipers.

Glocks have some of the most reliable, best built magazines in the business. The 9mm mags have had over 30 years to mature. It's safe to say that they work, and work exceptionally well, as they should, after 30 years of feedback and refinements.

If you are having problems with any Glock magazines then the problem is likely you. (excepting the G42 mags in this thread, which is a new product and hasn't had 30 years of experience and refinements like the other mags have)

This is coming from someone that has more than 100k rounds down range in G17 and G19 pistols. The mags flat out work. Period.

Every time I personally see someone bad talk a Glock, it's always because they have zero experience with them. They have never owned one. They have never shot one. They think, because of their lack of experience and training that all guns should have safeties on them, and thus, Glock pistols must suck.

If I gave a Glock pistol hater a brand new G17, 5000 rds of ammo, and a competent defensive pistol class, I can almost guarantee they will come away with a different opinion of the pistol afterwards.

I'd also like to hear what you think is a reliable defensive pistol, if a Glock isnt.
