Well, I read on here a few days ago about GTX going to 16 bucks at Walmart a few days ago. It is 16 in North Texas as well. I like GTX but no way I am paying 4 bucks more when it is no better than any other oils out there for 12 bucks. Is this Walmart or BP pushing the price up? Actually, I was going to try PP. Is 5W20 not available in the 5 quart bottles? Matter of fact, they had no 5W20 at all in PP.

I was at Target today and I noticed GTX is $3.99 per quart.

I don't need any oil, but if I did, I would go to BigLots for the 5 quart jug of QuakerState SM GF-4.

I see lots of 5w20 PP at my Walmart in jugs.

There is also supertech 5w20 available , quaker state 5w20 available, Motorcraft 5w20 available and YB 5w20. They are all cheaper and equivelent for most applications.

My brother in-law loves GTX, lucky for him that he stocked up some GTX jugs 3 months ago before hurricane Ike for 1 year worth of oil change for 3 cars.

Pennzoil Conventional is great oil.

It has served me well for 25 years and a lot of miles with no oil related problems.

If only I could rub some on the tires to keep them from wearing out.

Thats what I did, from GTX ($10.17/jug a month ago) to YB $2.51/quart and PP @ $4.01/quart, all from Walmart.

Oh, but you can. Just smear some on there and the tires will just slide down the road.

Addiction to car maintenance is sad. I was sitting around bored at midnightlastnite. I drained my GTX 300 miles early just to put the YB in. Don't flame me but actually used a fram filter. Walmart was all out of Super Tech filter for the camry yesterday. I hope the car don't just quit running now. I can only imagine what will happen with pennzoil and a fram filter. LOL...

I think all of us here on BITOG are addicted to car maintanence. My friend Jennifer showed up at my houselastnight with this huge gallon jug of red wine and as we both got feeling reallyyyyyyyyyyy good ;)..............I grabbed my half quart bottle of RP and brought it outside with us and sat it on my table (it was a bit cool outlastnight). Anyway, while she was keeping me warm

,the RP was getting cold and lonely. This morning I went outside and brought it in. Sorry guys about forgetting that lonely bottle of oil outside, but hey, when I have a hot drunk girl keeping me comfy, oil is THEE LAST thing on my mind

Ending to my story.....I woke up with a HUGE smile on my face and the RP shook around smoothly in the bottle

nothing wrong with running fram oil filters. People will say you can get a better filter for the same money (me included) but I ran frams for years with no problems and if I did not have a stash of pure one's I would run a fram for a normal oci if need be

That's funny, I do the same thing sometimes, really annoys the girlfriend.

I think I'm going to start using the term "changing your oil" for something else in my next relationship.

Hopefully I'll be changing a lot of oil at midnight in the future.
